There are some upcoming free classes I will be leading at the University of Iowa. These are FREE financial education classes that the University of Iowa offers to its employees, through UI Benefits and UI Learning & Development. Registration is required. Please see the link or the attachment for details:

Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 12noon and 5pm - Raising Financially Responsible Children - Learn how to raise your children to understand money! Techniques and tools for parents to ensure their children share their values of saving and managing money. This course is intended for parents and future parents of children from infancy to teenagers.

Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 12noon and 5pm - Budgeting 101 - Learn the basics of creating a budget, and tools and techniques to help you stick with it. This course is intended for individuals and families who are new to personal finance or want to learn how to tweak the system they already have in place.

Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 12noon and 5pm - College Savings - Learn the different savings vehicles available to save for college. Learn to calculate what your family's contribution might be, and the best way to plan accordingly. This course is intended for people interested in saving for college for their children, grandchildren, or anyone else (even themselves!).
